The magic of Christmas doesn’t just arrive in December—at Cachia it begins months earlier inside the walls of our Melbourne studio, where our design team dreams, sketches, laughs, debates, and pours love into every print you see. Christmas at Cachia is more than a collection. It’s a celebration of family, fun, and those little festive moments our community cherishes most.
Every year, we set out to create prints that spark joy the moment you open your pyjama drawer—pieces that feel nostalgic yet fresh, playful yet thoughtful, and of course, unmistakably Cachia. This year’s Christmas collection is the perfect blend of tradition, originality, and festive magic.
Here’s how each of our prints came to life.
Ho Ho No Set
This year, we had the pleasure of collaborating with the wonderful (and wonderfully cheeky) Sean Szeps. When Sean visited our team, he presented seven different concepts—each filled with humour, personality, and delightfully mischievous festive characters.
The only problem was that we loved them all! So, in true Cachia fashion, our team found a creative way to bring every concept together. We created a festive fair isle print with a twist.
From gingerbread men up to no good, to dancing Santas, cheeky elves, and a snowman who is melting under the Aussie sun —the result is a print that blends tradition with playful chaos. It’s bright, bold, and guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone who sees it.
G’Day Aussie
Nothing says Christmas in Australia like pav in the fridge, mozzies buzzing around the BBQ, and cricket on in the background. We wanted to bottle up that uniquely Aussie holiday feeling and pour it into a print that felt both nostalgic and fresh.
When it comes to Aussie Chirstmas themes, more often than not you will see a kangaroo wearing a Santa hat, or maybe a koala, and that is it. However there are so many other iconic Aussie motifs that are rarely seen in sleepwear that we wanted to incorporate. We saw this as our moment to create something truly special.
With bold, punchy colours to make each icon stand out, G’Day Aussie became one of the most vibrant and personality-filled prints in the collection.
Candy Cane Lane
This print is extra special because it was born directly from you—our Cachia Club community.
We asked what themes you wanted to see this Christmas, and the response was loud and clear: Candy canes, candy canes, candy canes!
When we asked about colour palettes, traditional red and green won by a mile, and honestly… we couldn’t have been happier. There’s something so warm and comforting about classic Christmas colours done well.
Knowing how loved our striped styles are (they almost always sell out), we knew a striped candy cane set would be a winner. But getting the stripes right took time. We trialled multiple variations—thin, thick, faded, crisp—until we landed on the perfect balance that felt festive, fun, and wearable all season long.
White Xmas Wishes
This print began with one beautifully simple theme, Letters to Santa.
We adored the idea of stamps, envelopes, and handwritten wishes sprinkled across a festive pyjama set.
We also wanted to touch on a gingerbread theme, but with so many other brands leaning into gingerbread this year, we looked for a way to make it uniquely ours. The solution was to combine both themes into one sweet and sentimental print.
Choosing a white base felt natural—it’s one of our most-loved Christmas colours and brings that snowy, magical feeling (even if we’re melting through a 38-degree Christmas Day).
For a little luxe moment, we decided to trial this one on satin fabric, as our community had been loving satin styles throughout this year. The satin fabric gave the print a smooth finish and a dressed-up festive feel without sacrificing comfort.
Midnight Sleigh Ride
Some Christmas prints are loud and bright—this one is beautifully calm.
We were inspired by the idea of a starry Christmas Eve, that magical moment when everything is quiet, cosy, and full of anticipation. A deep navy palette gave the print a nostalgic, traditional charm that felt timeless.
Every year, we release a style in our signature waffle fabric, and it felt like the perfect fit for this design. Soft, textured, and versatile, it allowed the print to shine while keeping the look elegant and family-friendly.
Designing our Christmas prints is one of the most joyful parts of our year. It’s a process filled with collaboration, creativity, and so much love.
