And honestly? We still can't believe we're typing this.
For eight years, Cachia has lived in your phone screens, your inboxes, your front doorsteps, delivered in those parcels you rip open before you've even closed the door. We've dressed your families in matching Christmas PJs, been there for the lazy Sunday sleep-ins, and shown up in thousands of bedtime selfies that genuinely make us emotional on a regular basis.
But now? We're about to meet you in real life.
Cachia is opening its very first brick-and-mortar retail store at Airport West's Westfield shopping centre and we are absolutely losing it.
Our Biggest Secret to Date
Here's the thing. We've been sitting on this for an entire year. A YEAR. If you know us, you know how hard it is for us to keep anything to ourselves. But this one? This was different. This was the dream we whispered about in the early days when we were packing orders from very first HQ.
Every meeting, every floor plan, every tiny decision about lighting and shelving and how it should feel when you walk through the doors, we've poured our hearts into it. And keeping it from our community has genuinely been one of the hardest things we've done.
Until this week.
The Hoarding Is Up And It's Real
This week, the hoarding boards went up at Westfield Airport West, and seeing CACHIA on an actual shopfront wall? Nothing could have prepared us for that moment.
It's one thing to dream about something. It's a completely different thing to see it taking shape right in front of you, in an actual shopping centre, with actual walls, where actual humans are going to come and touch the fabrics, try things on, and hopefully feel as excited as we do.
From the Lounge Room to a Shopfront
Let's rewind for a second. Cachia started in 2017 with a single product, the #BeYou T-shirt. Two mums, Sophie and Leah, who believed that what you wear should make you feel good, no matter your size, your budget, or whether you're heading to a gala or heading to bed.
Then came the Gigi Set, our very first pyjama set and everything changed. You told us you loved it. Then you told your mums. Then your mums told their friends. And suddenly, we weren't just a little online brand anymore, we were a community.
Eight years, hundreds of designs, and over 18,000 five-star reviews later, we've grown in ways we never imagined. Sizes 6–26 all at the same price. Collabs with legends like Sean Szeps. Our first-ever licensed collection with Peter Rabbit. A loyalty community - the Cachia Club that genuinely feels like family.
And now? A store. An actual, physical, walk-in, try-on, feel-the-cotton, pick-your-favourite-print, real life Cachia store.
Why Airport West?
Melbourne is home. It's where Cachia was born, where our team works, and where so many of you are. Westfield Airport West felt like the perfect place to plant our very first flag, a centre that's all about community, convenience, and bringing people together. Sound familiar?
What to Expect
We're not going to give away everything just yet (we've gotten pretty good at keeping secrets, apparently). But what we will say is this: the Cachia retail experience is going to feel like Cachia. Think comfort, colour, warmth, and that feeling you get when you pull on your favourite PJs after a long day, except it's an entire shop.
We're building a space where you can bring the whole family, feel the quality of our fabrics in person, find your perfect fit, and be part of something that started as two mums with a dream and has grown into this incredible community of people who just get it.
