“Every year at the beginning of November, my partner and I set up our Christmas tree together. (Yes we set it up in November!!). My partner will get the tree out from the shed build it, then I come along and fluff the tree. Next I play Christmas music as loud as possible and do all the decorations. My partner’s not allowed to decorate because he never does it right haha! He puts everything all on the one side and it looks terrible. But at the very end when I’m almost finished, then I’ll let him put a few ornaments on.”

“Every year I force my brothers into going for a drive to look at Christmas lights, and I always play Christmas music in the car which they HATE. Then on Christmas eve I force my whole family to watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and they are so over it nowadays. I remember there was one year that we were only about 10 minutes into the movie, and I fell asleep because it was around 10:30pm. They were all like “SHE’S NOT EVEN WATCHING IT!! I’M GOING TO BED!!” etc, etc. hahah."

“On Christmas Day my family and I have a Flip Cup Championship. It’s a hilarious drinking game that we play. You have 5 cups, half-filled with your drink of choice, and you need to skull the first one and then continue flipping it until you’ve successfully flipped it over. Then once you’ve flipped the first cup you move onto the next one until you’ve flipped them all. The first one to flip all 5 wins. It starts between two people, and then the winner plays the next person and so on until we have the champion. We’re all very competitive so it’s a lot of fun.”

“Since my kids are a little bit older now, I’m excited to let them stay up a little later this year to go looking at Christmas lights. So it will be the start of a new tradition!”

“My family always do a big roast pork, but I don’t eat pork. So I always cook up a salmon, which I know is a little strange for Christmas but I love salmon so I make a big one for the day.”
